THE STORY

BAWANG is inspired by the Indonesian tale of Bawang Merah and Bawang Putih, exploring the idea that human nature is rarely simply good or bad. It reflects the complexity and duality within every individual.

Bawang, meaning onion, is also one of Indonesia's valued agricultural commodities that grows well across the country's fertile lands.

THE MATERIAL

Made from a Linen Cotton Blend, the fabric feels lightweight, cool, breathable, and absorbent. Its distinctive natural texture creates an effortless look while providing comfort for everyday wear.

THE CRAFT

The BAWANG motif is created using Batik Cap, followed by hand-dyeing carried out by experienced artisans.

Each piece is carefully crafted by women artisans in Pandan Krajan Village, Mojokerto, reflecting their expertise and attention to detail.

More than fashion, BAWANG is part of a story of batik preservation and village empowerment.

HOW TO WEAR

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

For the first wash, we recommend hand washing separately. After that, it can be machine washed, although hand washing is still recommended to help preserve the fabric fibers.

Use a neutral or mild-pH detergent, such as baby detergent, mild dish soap, or natural lerak solution.

Dry in a shaded area and avoid direct sunlight.

ATTENTION

We practice handmade production and slow fashion. Standard-size orders can be processed more quickly, while deeper colors require a longer dyeing process.

Colors may appear slightly different depending on photography lighting and individual screen settings.

As natural dyes are used, each piece has its own unique character. Color similarity is approximately 95%, and no two pieces will be exactly identical.
