Ulur Wiji is an Eco-Fashion Creative brand and social enterprise, established on January 3, 2020 in Mojokerto, East Java.
We believe that the village is not a limitation.
It is a place where culture, craftsmanship, creativity, and opportunity can grow.
Through fashion and craft, we aim to create meaningful opportunities for rural communities while bringing Indonesian craftsmanship into contemporary everyday life.

We want to show that quality, creativity, and meaningful economic opportunities can grow from rural communities.
Our journey began with fashion, but our purpose goes beyond clothing.
We work to create opportunities for women, keep Indonesian textile heritage relevant, and explore more responsible ways of making.
This is what “Dari Desa Bisa Berdaya” means to us.

For us, making something beautiful is not enough.
We consider the hands behind the work, the culture behind the craft, the materials we choose, and the impact of the process.
Our approach brings together three commitments:
INDONESIAN TEXTILE HERITAGE
We seek to become a bridge between generations by bringing Indonesian textile traditions into contemporary life.
From hand-drawn batik and weaving to other textile crafts, we believe heritage should not only be preserved — it should continue to be worn, experienced, and evolved.
We create everyday pieces that allow Indonesian textile heritage to remain relevant for today and the generations to come.
WOMEN WITH OPPORTUNITY
More than 80% of the Ulur Wiji team are women from underserved communities.
Through our work, we create opportunities for women to learn, work, create, and contribute economically to themselves and their families.
Our commitment also continues through Ulurwiji Foundation and School of Women Artisan, an informal learning initiative where rural women can develop new skills and explore opportunities through craftsmanship.
We believe empowerment begins with opportunity.
ECO-FASHION
We believe responsibility should be considered throughout the making process.
We work with natural-fibre fabrics and use natural dyes for our signature products, while synthetic dyes are managed through more responsible production processes.
Our workshop also has a wastewater treatment system, developed and monitored in collaboration with Politeknik Negeri Malang, to help reduce the environmental impact of our production process.
We continue to learn, improve, and make more thoughtful choices — because responsible fashion is not a destination, but an ongoing process.
