TANDUR OUTER

TANDUR OUTER
A modern kebaya-inspired outer that combines a clean, elegant silhouette with distinctive batik motifs. Carefully tailored for a polished yet effortless look, its kebaya collar adds a classic touch through a contemporary interpretation.
THE STORY
The TANDUR motif is inspired by the simple yet meaningful process of planting rice. Tandur is an abbreviation of “Tanam Mundur,” a Javanese term describing the technique of planting rice while moving backward in a bent position.
This traditional process reflects perseverance, patience, and hard work—values deeply rooted in everyday rural life.
THE MATERIAL
Made from 100% Cotton, the fabric feels soft, lightweight, cool, and breathable, with good moisture absorption. Its natural texture creates an effortless look that is comfortable for everyday wear.
THE CRAFT
The TANDUR motif combines Batik Cap and Batik Tulis techniques, followed by natural dyeing using plants cultivated in Indonesia.
Each piece is carefully crafted by women artisans in Pandan Krajan Village, Mojokerto, drawing on their experience and dedication to batik craftsmanship.
More than fashion, TANDUR is part of a story of batik preservation and village empowerment.
HOW TO WEAR
Wear it as a blouse with wide-leg trousers or a skirt for a clean, modern look.
As a vest, layer it over a blouse or plain inner for a more dimensional outfit. Its versatile silhouette makes the TANDUR Kebaya Blouse easy to style from casual to semi-formal occasions.
