THE STORY

METAMORF is inspired by the movement and transformation of every element of life.

It reflects the idea that all life is dynamic—constantly moving, changing, and growing. The METAMORF symbols are represented through the Sun, Wind, Butterfly, and Metamorphic Rock, reflecting the belief that there is a divine hand behind every movement of the universe, both seen and unseen.

THE MATERIAL

The METAMORF Haori is made from a linen-cotton blend, combining the natural character of linen with the softness and comfort of cotton.

The fabric has a distinctive texture without feeling overly stiff, giving the piece a relaxed drape and unique material character.

THE CRAFT

The METAMORF motif is created using the traditional Batik Tulis (hand-drawn batik) technique, with the dyeing process carefully measured and carried out by Ulur Wiji artisans.

Every stage is completed with close attention to detail, allowing each piece to carry its own subtle character.

HOW TO WEAR

CARE

• For the first wash, we recommend hand washing the garment separately. It can be machine washed afterward, but hand washing is recommended to help preserve the fabric fibers for longer.
• Use a neutral or near-neutral pH detergent, such as mild dish soap, baby detergent, or natural lerak soap solution.
• Dry in a shaded area and avoid direct sunlight.

• Ulur Wiji follows a handmade and slow-fashion process. Standard-size orders can generally be processed faster. Darker and more intense colours may require additional time during the natural dyeing process.
• Colour may appear slightly different from the images due to photography lighting and individual screen settings.
• As this piece is naturally dyed, each product has its own unique character. Colour similarity is approximately 95% and cannot be guaranteed to be exactly identical to the product shown in the photos.
