THE STORY — TANDUR

TANDUR is inspired by the everyday tradition of village communities planting corn seeds in carefully arranged rows.

The practice carries a simple philosophy of perseverance: plant well, nurture what you plant, and harvest the good that follows.

The TANDUR motif translates this story into a contemporary batik shirt designed for both work and relaxed everyday moments.

THE MATERIAL

Made from 100% Cotton Santiu, the fabric is durable and comfortable for everyday wear.

Its structured yet wearable character makes it suitable for different occasions, from work settings to casual gatherings.

THE CRAFT

The TANDUR motif combines Batik Tulis (Hand-Drawn Batik) and Batik Cap (Hand-Stamped Batik), with the dyeing process carefully carried out by Ulur Wiji artisans.

Each stage is completed with attention to detail, giving every piece subtle characteristics of its own.

HOW TO WEAR

Pair it with different types of bottoms depending on the occasion.

Wear it with denim jeans for a relaxed everyday look, chino shorts for a more casual setting, or relaxed trousers for a contemporary silhouette.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

• For the first wash, hand wash separately. A washing machine may be used afterwards, but hand washing is recommended to help preserve the fabric fibres.
• Use a neutral or near-neutral pH detergent, such as mild dish soap, baby soap, or natural lerak solution.
• Dry in the shade and avoid direct sunlight.

PLEASE NOTE

We embrace a handmade and slow-fashion process. Standard-size orders can be processed more quickly, while darker colours may require additional time for the dyeing process.

Colour may appear slightly different from the product shown due to photography lighting and individual screen settings.

Because natural dyes are used, every piece develops its own unique colour character. Colour similarity is approximately 95% and cannot be guaranteed to be exactly identical to the product shown.
